Building Leadership. The backbone of the NELC is the companies who provide invaluable leadership at the national, state, and local level.

Building Knowledge. The NELC serves as a repository for information pertaining to effective practices and developers of new information and products increasing employer participation. Knowledge development distills experiences of local sites and communities into key elements and characteristics that can be shared with and adapted by employers and communities.

Building Capacity. Businesses that are interested in becoming involved in school-to-careers need information on the topic as well as implementation assistance. Capacity building focuses on helping local partnerships meet the criteria and benchmarks emerging from knowledge building.
